About My Clients
I work with individuals, adolescents, and couples who are sexual minorities or have intersecting identities that have them living outside traditional, mainstream structures in some way. I am passionate about supporting people as they navigate the challenges of living in alignment with themselves in a world that does its best to maintain the normative status quo. My clients come to me for a variety of reasons including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or trauma and PTSD.
My Background and Approach
I believe in a whole-being, holistic approach to healing. I draw from a variety of approaches including trauma-informed mindfulness-based techniques (MBSR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), wellness & nutrition for mental health, attachment theory, and existentialism. I have completed Level 1 Gottman Method training and am currently obtaining my certification in Sex Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to compassionate dismantling of internalized oppression, examining ourselves as a constant, life-long process includes our cultural conditioning. The way I practice is grounded in feminism, social justice and intersectionality. I myself am part of the LGBTQ+ & Kink Communities.
