You find yourself always needing to be busy, going, and doing to distract. Or, you may find yourself frozen for long periods of time; time slips away. Maybe you feel burnt out, drained. Perhaps you want more connection in your life - to your authentic self, to others, and your body.
My Background and Approach
I can help you connect to your body and authentic self through somatic therapy, parts work, and strengths-based therapy. Traditional therapy sessions are often missing bringing attention to how emotions are connected to your body and nervous system. I bring awareness to body sensations and breathing patterns to break the cycle of being in survival mode.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that a lot of what we see in the therapy world comes from trauma or nervous system responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) rather than being "broken" or "disordered." It's unfortunate that we put people in boxes based on diagnoses. I feel it is oversimplifying the human experience. I welcome your story, complexities, and all of your parts in therapy sessions.
