About My Clients
Feeling a little lost and disconnected? Struggling through another work or school day? Having difficulty feeling understood? I get it, I'm a millennial who has lived through several "once in a lifetime" economic crises, student loans, the fear of being a forever renter, social injustices, and the pressure to hit certain life milestones in a society that hasn't caught up with our needs. I'm here to help you develop the tools that you need to navigate these new and challenging terrains.
My Background and Approach
I set out to become a therapist because I saw need in the world for working through difficulties rather than around them. My goal is to help my clients strengthen the tools that they already have in their arsenal to combat symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, everyday stress, and more. I work from an arsenal of therapeutic techniques as well as creative/artistic interventions, and a dose of good humor. Along the way, I will also help you to develop new skills so that you feel ready and able to take on the world. I work primarily through an empowerment lens and hope that my clients leave feeling capable and strong. I am always thrilled to celebrate even the tiniest accomplishments with you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that human beings are complex, resilient, and capable of growth throughout their lives. I believe that we are often impacted greatly by larger systems and that we must take this into consideration when we navigate the difficulties of our own individual lives. I think "weird" is cool and "sensitive" is a superpower. I'm an avid hiker--nature is my safe space. I have two kitties (Clover and Luna) but would own a whole menagerie if I could. I love all things horror, The Shining is my favorite movie. I'm an unapologetic Taylor Swift fan.
