About My Clients
Anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves. Therapy offers space to slow down, explore emotions and needs, and understand patterns shaped by past experiences. I welcome those who are used to putting others first, questioning old stories, or seeking a deeper connection with themselves. Together, we can make room for self-compassion, meaningful change, and a more authentic way of being.
My Background and Approach
I’m a clinical mental health counseling graduate student at Antioch University and a counseling intern at Sakura Counseling, where I practice under supervision. My experience as a recovery coach in eating disorder treatment has deepened my appreciation for the complex relationships between emotions, body image, and self-worth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in person-centered care. I draw from emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, narrative approaches, and parts-oriented work to help explore emotions, understand familiar patterns, and make space for different aspects of the self. Sessions can include slowing down, noticing what is happening in the present, and getting curious about the stories that shape daily life. My areas of focus include anxiety, life transitions, relationships, body image, and self-esteem. I aim to offer a space where feeling understood supports greater self-compassion, meaningful choices, and connection with an authentic sense of self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people deserve to feel seen, respected, and free to be themselves. I value authenticity, compassion, curiosity, and connection, and I bring those values into the relationships I build with clients. There is room for uncertainty, conflicting feelings, and the parts of ourselves that can be difficult to share. I also believe healing happens within the larger context of our lives. Culture, identity, relationships, and systems of power shape our experiences and the support available to us. I am committed to ongoing learning and reflection about my own assumptions and to creating an affirming space that respects each person’s lived experience. Outside of counseling, I find connection through nature, creativity, and time with my dogs. These parts of my life remind me to slow down and appreciate small moments. To me, growth means building a life that feels meaningful and authentic, with room for both struggle and joy.
