About My Clients
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, family struggles, or the effects of trauma, I’m here to help. We will look at all the systemic pieces that your mental health is rooted in. We can work together on creating an adaptable treatment plan that gets you back to feeling like the best version of yourself. We will work on grounding skills, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. I can help you learn to express your emotions through somatic work and expressive art therapy.
My Background and Approach
I have a master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah and I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW). I specialize in working with adults, young adults, and teens through a trauma-informed lens. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and I am a certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy provider (C-DBT). I incorporate Inner Child Work into my practice and I am CAMS Care trained in Suicide Prevention and Awareness. I also have 8 years of experience working with those who struggle with disordered eating. I offer humor, warmth, and compassion to my practice. I always bring my authentic self to the therapeutic relationship and I invite you to do the same. Mental health matters, and sometimes we need help and support to get us to where we want to be. My goal is to help you feel safe, valued, and respected. Your healing journey matters, and I would like nothing more than to help you along the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The values I bring into my practice are respect, honesty, safety, and genuineness. I have volunteered with the Utah Pride Center and Title 1 schools in the Provo School District. I have also worked with Kids on the Move, where I worked one-on-one with the local Latinx community, offering mental health services to pre-K students. I am a strong advocate for the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities here in Utah.
