About My Clients
If you start a sentence with "What if?", punish yourself for past mistakes, overthink what you said or did, shrink to the world, or wake up irritable for no reason, you are in the right place. I know there are more days than not when you feel exhausted. Many of my clients have set healthy boundaries, built healthy relationships, found their self-worth, and implemented healthy communication skills to advocate for their needs.
My Background and Approach
I have a toolbox of strategies that you can carry throughout your life. Many strategies involve identifying and changing behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. You will also learn how your body manages anxiety reactions so you can learn how to relax. Everyone responds differently to these tools, so we will design the most effective strategies for you. Over the past 6 years, I have attended trainings that focus on anxiety which has allowed me to teach techniques that my clients have found helpful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can live authentically but it is a work in progress. My personal belief is that mental health issues are cultivated in society’s expectations of how people SHOULD live their lives. I grew up trying to fit in with the Indian and American cultures, which resulted in finding peace with finding myself as an individual. I believe many individuals can be freed from these expectations if they can recognize their authentic voice, incrementally sit with the discomfort of voicing their truth, and then express it in a meaningful way.
