About My Clients
Struggling with anxiety and depression drains the joy and vivaciousness of life. If you have found yourself carrying the burden of living with anxiety or depression, reach out! Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been proven again and again to be extremely helpful in managing and overcoming these conditions. You don't have to feel alone or live in a dark haze anymore. All you need to do is reach out and show up! I will lead you through the rest with empathy, understanding, and respect.
My Background and Approach
I have been in the counseling profession for 4 years. The issues I enjoy working with are anxiety, depression, inter-personal issues and life transitions. I have worked in both private clinical settings and within school settings, and I have counseled all ages of clients. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Connecticut, as well as a NCC. I typically utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as the foundation of counseling as it has been scientifically shown to be very efficient and can be used effectively with several different issues. I can absolutely say that my clients have benefited from CBT. Counseling is just a conversation between yourself and an unbiased guide. Please reach out if you are suffering in any way. I would be honored to assist you in exploring the issue you are dealing with and in helping you to learn the skills needed to overcome and take control! I completely believe that (with a little help) you can live the life you have always dreamed of!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a very open-minded person who believes in equality, empathy and compassion for all. As a helping professional, it is my duty to show up for my clients 100% and to be a collaborative therapeutic guide to the best of my ability. This is really the backbone of my counseling practice. On a personal note. I have been an expat for over 10 years. I have lived in Poland, Italy, Spain, Myanmar and Malta. I enjoy travel and meeting all types of people and experiencing new cultures. Being an expat has humbled me, while also making me wise enough to know that there is no "right" way to be or to live. Everyone is a unique person made up of experiences, culture, location, relationships, and a million other factors. Living as an expat has helped me to try my best to see through the client's perspective and try to help them see what is right for themselves.
