My Background and Approach
I work with clients by connecting to my own humanity and presence, offering sincere curiosity and thoughtful inquiry that is centered on supporting clients connect to what they most want for themselves. My work is consensual--we go at the pace you want; my work is process focused--we focus on the here and now in life; my work supports structure, stability, and increased capacity for emotional content. My work is centered on heart and human connection, as well as attachment and attunement, to unveil and reorient away from barriers in the way of deeper fulfillment and connection. I offer a space for clients to have expansive, supportive healing from wounds such as chronically not being fully seen, heard, or truly known. I'm trained in the Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM) and am a NARM Masters level therapist. I am dedicated to providing in-depth care for people who have experienced objectification, disembodiment, and disruptions to living in their own authenticity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a curious, perceptive, and whimsical person to the core. I'm passionate about human connection, and themes related to attachment, attunement, creative expression, and somatic (body) wisdom. I value: Humanity over pathology: I am committed to not attaching to and labeling a person but rather including mental health symptoms and diagnoses as a part of a person's experience. I strive to honor and validate lived experiences without being reductionistic. NOT Knowing, but intuiting: I am leaning more and more into the space of trusting I can't know everything. It feels so good to show up with presence and space to learn and connect as we go. Personal growth: I've consistently been in therapy, with 3 different therapists spanning 12 years & have an active yoga practice. Professional growth: I'm committed to ongoing learning with supervision, consultation, and trainings. My trainings and supervision mostly focus on developmental trauma and eating disorder recovery.
