About My Clients
Maybe you’ve been in therapy in the past, but the changes you were looking for never really happened. You've been keeping it together, but you're asking yourself, is that enough? You haven’t been able to think your way out of your past traumatic experiences and now life seems to be adding new problems to the old ones. When are things going to change?
My Background and Approach
I work with people experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, grief and loss, peri menopause/menopause, aging and other life transitions. I use what's considered to be somatic therapy. We talk about your problems and strengths, but we also focus on how the body responds to and holds on to stress and bracing. The goal is to help you learn you learn to regulate your nervous system, gradually processing and discharging traumatic experiences. This involves tracking sensations without retraumatizing, allowing the body to complete its natural responses to threat, and restoring balance to the whole nervous system. Somatic Experiencing therapy helps to build resilience and foster a sense of safety, empowering you to integrate your traumatic experiences and restore well-being and connection.
