I take a strengths-based and solution-oriented approach when working with clients, helping to build on strengths that are already present within someone or their family. I also enjoy utilizing play and creative expression in therapy, particularly with children. Using more experiential techniques can be extremely helpful to process issues that may be difficult to express with words. I am currently seeking certification in play therapy to build on the success I have seen with play and creativity in therapy. I hope to provide a safe space where people can feel vulnerable and open, helping to foster healing and growth. It is important that the therapeutic space is collaborative, and people feel empowered and feel that they can achieve and meet their own goals. I am a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator have also completed the Gottman Emotion Coaching curriculum for parents. I have also completed Levels 1 and 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

I understand how painful it is to feel disconnected. Everyone deserves loving connection and when we have that need met, we feel more harmonious in general. I agree to provide a safe space that allows you to reach your therapy goals with me, finding more harmony and positive connection in your life and in your family’s home. All of my skills and beliefs about therapy significantly influence my work with my clients in session. I attended Florida State University and received my Bachelor’s in Family and Child Sciences. I developed a passion for education and prevention work around family life and human development, which led me to pursue my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. When working with clients, I incorporate practical and solution-oriented tools to help individuals and families successfully navigate challenges that happening. With these tools, when future challenges arise, clients feel prepared and confident in their ability to handle concerns on their own.
