About My Clients
I support child, teens, young adults, and families looking for help. Eating disorders can be a challenging thing to get support for so nice job on the first step! We will work to address the root cause of the eating concerns not just change behaviors. I work with people with all eating disorders including: anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and ARFID. A large part of eating struggles can be neurodivergent needs. People who think differently often need some else who thinks differently to support.
My Background and Approach
I began my therapy journey working with kids with autism in ABA therapy. I believe more than behaviors are important and addressing the emotions behind them lead to lasting results! I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2025 with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed my practicum and internship working with children and young adults experiencing neurodivergence, trauma, and involved in family conflict. My approach to therapy is the client leads. Whether we are practicing coping strategies or processing through trauma, you are in charge. I use somatic interventions to support feeling experiences in your body and allowing yourself to heal. In addition, I use Child Parent Relationship Training with families to support attachment and attunement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have experience in working with people of various faiths and spiritual beliefs. I was raised Chrisitian but love to support people of different faiths. I believe all people deserve support and fair care. The current geo-political climate often alienates people into being marginalized. All people deserve support and access to care. I value honesty and trust in therapy and my life. In therapy I exemplify honesty by offering real, true information in a honest but digestible way. Trust is also important because its difficult to talk to a stranger about your most vulnerable moments.
