About My Clients
Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning adults and young people who have learned to adapt to difficult or inconsistent environments. They may carry trauma or attachment wounds, and while they appear capable on the outside, they often feel anxious, overwhelmed, hyper-responsible, or disconnected underneath. Some are beginning to understand how years of masking, people-pleasing, or simply “pushing through” have impacted their nervous system and relationships.
My Background and Approach
My background is rooted in social work and community-based mental health, which deeply informs how I see therapy. I understand that our struggles don’t happen in a vacuum, they’re shaped by family systems, culture, identity, and larger social forces. Because of this, I approach therapy with both compassion and a social justice lens, honoring the ways power, privilege, and systemic stress can impact mental health. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in nervous system awareness. I integrate attachment-focused work, EMDR, and somatic practices to help clients gently process trauma and build greater emotional safety, self-trust, and resilience. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and human, a space where you are respected, not pathologized.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to be met with dignity, respect, and genuine care. I see mental health not as something that needs to be “fixed,” but as something that deserves understanding. Many of the patterns we struggle with began as ways to survive, and with support, they can evolve into something more sustainable and life-giving. I value authenticity, cultural humility, and the belief that healing happens in relationship. My role is not to tell you who you should be, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own clarity, voice, and resilience.
