There are so many facets to who you are, and layers to your experience - and they all deserve loving kindness. Getting to know and understand the parts which make up your whole self, can help to release old hurts and create new patterns. Whether as an individual or in relationships, it's important to learn "where am I speaking from?" and unburden those parts of you that are stuck in painful places so that you can move forward into becoming your most authentic self.

As a member of the queer community, I entered the counseling field because I couldn't find providers who understood the immense joy of being LGBTQIA2S+, as well as the unique traumas and discrimination we can face. I became a counselor to serve my community, and work to create a space where you don't have to explain yourself anymore - you can just be held with understanding while you work to become your best, healthiest, most full self.

Art can bring the power of mindfulness and the joy of self-expression together to foster some truly magical healing. Being able to play, to express yourself without words, and to create a new felt experience is one of the most effective (and enjoyable) ways to heal. You don't have to be "good at art" to find peace and release through creation... you just have to give it a try.

You might've heard that "the body keeps the score", but what does that even mean? Not only does our body remember painful moments, we can use the body's own mechanics and systems to repair past trauma, understand the weight you've been carrying, and finally start to FEEL better. Talk therapy is great, but when you feel like you've hit a wall, somatic therapy can help you get to the next level.

Getting to know (and like) yourself isn't always as straightforward as it seems. We use expressive arts, somatic practices, and parts-based therapies to discover who you are and develop skills that help you blossom. Whether that's working through trauma, finding your voice, or creating safe places to experiment in, you can be totally vibrant.
