About My Clients
Are you a woman who takes care of everyone else while your needs are on the back burner? Maybe you're a mom overwhelmed by the mental load of motherhood. Or maybe you carry the unseen stress and exhaustion of parenting a neurodivergent kiddo. You might feel worried, irritable, and overstimulated- like you're barely keeping your head above water. You take care of everyone else, it’s time to focus on you.
My Background and Approach
This work is truly a privilege, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to sit alongside you and hold space in your most vulnerable moments. My approach is warm and collaborative, and I value authenticity, honesty, and humor. I draw from several evidence-based interventions, including CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based strategies. I also view your experience through the feminist framework and honor the unique challenges you face and strengths you possess as a woman. In our work together, we’ll identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, practice strategies to calm your mind and body, and explore healthy communication, boundary setting, and self-care practices. I want to help you feel calm, connected, confident and more like YOU again.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a humanistic, person-centered therapist, it is my belief that people are innately good. I believe change occurs through connection; the act of seeing, hearing, validating, and empathizing with another human can be an incredibly healing experience. Research shows that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is the best predictor of a successful counseling experience, and this unique connection is at the heart of my practice. My counseling approach and practices are also LGBTQ+ and neuro-affirming. It is my top priority that clients who choose to work with me feel safe, respected, and celebrated for their differences. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood.
