About My Clients
I work primarily with women who are navigating anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, and/or trauma, but I am open to working with anyone who is a good fit. I also work well with over thinkers, people-pleasers, and high-achievers who are self-aware, but still feel like something is missing or disconnected.
My Background and Approach
Throughout the past 3 years, I have developed an approach to therapy that often looks relaxed and conversational with moments of mindfulness, humor, and creativity. I am also not afraid to gently challenge you when I notice certain patterns of thought or behavior that may not be serving. My goal for therapeutic work is to facilitate a reconnection with your authentic self so that your life aligns with your goals and values. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, relational, and feminist. I love somatic/body-based practices as well as emotion-focused work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have always believed that therapy is political and that it is important to explore how systems of oppression actively affect our wellbeing. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all sexualities and gender identities. Additionally, as a white therapist, I work to recognize how my privilege affects my life and therapeutic work. I aim to constantly be learning about how I can decolonize therapy and offer best practices to every identity. I am social-justice oriented and I do my best to stay informed about the state of the world and how to navigate challenges related to fascism and late stage capitalism.
