About My Clients
You might be trying to understand yourself a little better, navigating anxiety, identity, relationships, food or body image, or noticing patterns that keep showing up even when you want something to change. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients and creating space to explore gender and sexuality without assumptions or judgment. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can get curious about it together.
My Background and Approach
My background includes working with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, and relationship concerns across different levels of care. I pull from different therapeutic approaches depending on what you need rather than expecting one approach to work for everyone. That might look like noticing patterns and where they came from, exploring the different “parts” of yourself, practicing ways to manage overwhelming emotions, or challenging thoughts that no longer serve you. I also believe you should be involved in your own treatment. We’ll talk about what you want from therapy, build goals together, and check in about what is and isn’t working. I bring curiosity, compassion, and a little humor into the room because therapy can be meaningful without feeling clinical all the time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community myself, creating a space where people can show up as themselves is especially important to me. I care deeply about providing affirming care where gender, sexuality, relationships, and identity can be explored openly and without assumptions.I believe there is rarely just one thing that shapes who we are. Our families, cultures, communities, relationships, and experiences all play a role. I value connection, self-compassion, body respect, and learning to approach ourselves with a little more curiosity and a little less judgment. Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, staying active, spending time with the people and animals I love, and finding little ways to slow down and recharge. And since I work virtually, I fully support bringing your favorite blanket to therapy.
