My Background and Approach
I specialize in helping clients with anxiety, depression, high levels of stress, and PTSD. We will use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to understand unhelpful patterns, integrate healthier coping skills, and build sustainable habits. Psychodynamic techniques will help you build insight about the ways in which past experiences contribute to unhelpful thinking or doing patterns, and we will practice strategies to shift those dynamics towards a healthier orientation. I am a firm believer that therapy is a collaborative process that cannot be successful unless we have a strong, trusting relationship. I use Relational Therapy to build a trusting foundation so that you feel comfortable throughout our time working together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are more than the sum of our most difficult moments. And although times of crisis might bring with them despair or hopelessness, I know that breaking points can also be layered with opportunities for change. I have been on the other side of the "therapy couch" and know how challenging the therapeutic process can be, which is why I am so grateful to be a part of that process alongside you.
