About My Clients
I have experience with a variety of clients and am most passionate about working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, relational and attachment concerns and life transitions. I also provide EMDR.
My Background and Approach
My background and experience has been with children, teens, young adults and adults. Building trust and rapport is key in supporting you in the changes you seek to make. I aim to provide a safe space to share, explore and process what you need. I utilize the therapeutic relationship, authenticity, honesty and humor in our work together. I frequently utilize CBT, Psychodynamic therapy, Mindfulness CBT, Behavior Modification, LGBTQ affirming therapy and am trained in EMDR. I draw upon Feminist theory, attachment theory, systems theory and humanistic theories.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am continually amazed at the potential in each of us. I believe that even though we are individuals, we exist within complex systems that impact us, our choices and our beliefs. I believe in building and maintaining healthy habits that support ourselves including physical movement, meditation and mindfulness practices, self care and having healthy support systems in our lives. I personally enjoy hiking, yoga, time with family and friends and my 2 tuxedo cats.
