My Background and Approach
Fall 2020, I started in a private practice and in May 2025, I started my own-State of Mind Grand Rapids, LLC. I am licensed and hold space for virtual sessions in the state of Michigan. I believe in meeting you where you are at while exploring where you want to be. What works for you today may change tomorrow. Change is inevitable, so the therapy approach must account for that. There is no one size fits all therapy, and that's the beauty of it. Therapy is what you make it-it can be short or long term. It can help with anxiety, depression, relationships, boundaries, self exploration, parenting, career growth and more. I value getting to know you, so we can find the approach best suited to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you are the expert of you, and my role is to get to know you and help you explore all the versions of yourself. I believe people have the capacity for change-even though it can be hard. I believe that most people want to feel seen, heard and validated. I believe that life is often choosing between two different hard things. It's hard to try new things and it can be hard to stay in one place. I believe that boundaries are rooted in respect and love-for ourselves and others. I believe that humans have a desire for community and connection.
