About My Clients
I provide therapy to adults, teens, children, couples and families from a variety of backgrounds. I have experience working with trauma, chronic pain/illness, attachment/relational concerns, OCD, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, difficult life transitions, family and/or partner(s) relationship conflicts, as well as other mental health concerns. **Please note that at this time I am only working with OHP CareOregon clients.
My Background and Approach
I believe in each person's beauty and strength, which grow out of their unique experiences. With warmth, curiosity, and compassion, I strive to create a space where you can access and explore your emotions and experiences, enabling a deeper connection to yourself and others. Together, we will grow this connection by cultivating skills such as mindfulness and compassionate curiosity. I often encourage clients to bring their attention to their bodies and explore how the body is responding to whatever we may be talking about. My approach is influenced by compassion-focused therapy, internal family systems, and emotion-focused therapy. I believe that the connection between therapist and client is a crucial aspect of therapy. I recognize the harmful role systems of oppression play in people’s relationships with themselves and I'm continually expanding my understanding of that impact and my role in these systems. I will always seek to avoid perpetuating those systems in our sessions.
