"Even here, you are growing." - Morgan Harper Nichols. I believe in holding a curious and compassionate space for folks that are looking to navigate, and grow within, times of difficulty or change. I have valued my time empowering adults in my specialty areas including ADHD, anxiety, relational conflicts, low self worth, life transitions, and stress. My goal is to meet people exactly where they are and be a source of empowerment and guidance within their journey.
My Background and Approach
I take a collaborative approach in helping individuals explore perspectives and patterns, feel more secure within themselves and relationships, as well as to develop new skills based on the challenges being faced. I lead in my work through a relational-cultural and trauma informed lens, as well as with a sense of shared humanity and humor.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone entering into the counseling space is worthy and deserving of being seen for their unique views, values, beliefs, experiences and goals. I believe that acknowledging the larger oppressive systems that are in place which are harming marginalized groups is of the utmost importance when contextualizing any persons challenges that are faced. I believe in helping to create and facilitate a brave space for folks to share, explore and honor what being human has meant for them, and that it us up to the individual to set what goals are relevant. I believe in the power of inquiry, in acknowledging my shortcomings as a person, and commit myself to recognizing that I am not an expert in anyone else's lived experience. I believe in combining the inherent wisdom of lived experience with providing resources on topics and practices that are informed by inclusivity and anti-racism.
