My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Board Certified Sex Therapist in the state of Florida, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I've been in private practice since 2015. I specialize in sex and gender therapy, but also work with clients on issues not related to sex and gender therapy. My education includes a doctorate and masters degree from the University of Florida in sociology and gender studies and a masters in clinical mental health counseling from Adams State University. In 2014, I became a registered yoga teacher and often incorporate yoga philosophy, mindfulness training, and meditation into therapy sessions. I have been a university instructor for several years and have experience lecturing on the topics of marriage and families, relationships, sexuality and sexual functioning, gender, and health and well-being. I currently teach at the University of Tampa.
