I have been an Infant Mental Health Specialist for 10 years. IMH focuses on supporting children from birth to 5 yrs old related to mood, behavior and attachment concerns. I work with the parent and child together in session so the parent can build confidence in parenting skills and their relationship with their young child.

I am trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy, an evidence based treatment for children from birth to about age 5, who have experienced abuse, neglect, domestic violence, or other significant stress. CPP also supports families where the parent may be struggling with their own mental health issues or own history of trauma, helping bring awareness to how it shows up in their parenting and relationship with their child. The goal is for the parent and child to develop or maintain a secure attachment.

As a perinatal therapist, I support parents during pregnancy and postpartum who are struggling with depression, anxiety or trauma.

I have training in the use of cognitive behavioral therapy with clients during the pregnancy and postpartum period.

I have training in Child Parent Psychotherapy and have been using this trauma treatment for 10 years. CPP focuses on the parent-child attachment and helping the family heal from intergenerational trauma. I am rostered in CPP nationally. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for older children and adults with trauma.

During graduate school, I completed a concentration in psychodynamic therapy for adults.
