About My Clients
I love working with tweens, teens, and young adults (ages 9-25) who are trying to figure out who they are while navigating some of life's hardest seasons. Maybe you are a teen struggling with self-harming behaviors and a depressed mood, or a kid with school-related anxiety, or a young adult struggling with disordered eating and body image; I am here to help. I truly love working with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and undergoing major life transitions.
My Background and Approach
My sessions are engaging, creative, and tailored to each person's unique needs. I often incorporate play therapy (yes—even for young adults!), CBT, DBT, and somatic approaches to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen the connection between their mind and body, process difficult emotions, and develop coping skills they will actually use! Each session lasts about 50 minutes. With kids, I will provide space for you as the parent to check in with me prior to the session about any major concerns. I will also include you at the end of each session to review what we learned about that day, so that you can go home and feel more supported and prepared to help your kid.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Building a genuine therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they discover greater confidence, self-compassion, and a sense of calm. I believe everyone has the key to their own healing, and as a therapist I am there to help guide you on that path. I am 100% open to feedback and want my clients to share with me things they enjoy about therapy and things that they don't feel are working.
