About My Clients
I invite clients with any presenting issue to reach out. I also have a particular interest in women’s issues, including identity as a mother, motherhood, pregnancy loss, termination, abortion, miscarriage, infertility, perinatal issues, trauma around pregnancy or birth, and how our relationships are impacted by the life transition of a pregnancy or a loss.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is a truly personal experience. Therapy is not something done to a person, but rather it is created by the persons involved. In my work, I listen to how life's struggles are real for you. That is, what makes them personal. By staying with you and holding all that you bring, I hope to support the growth of this personal process. My passion is helping others to feel more aware of and compassionate within themselves, their lives, and their relationships. My approach to therapy is based in person centered and psychodynamic psychotherapy. What this means is that I work with clients in an interpersonal way, helping them to explore themselves, their current and past relationships, and unconscious blocks that prevent them from having the life and the relationships they desire. In therapy, we may acknowledge and reflect on your experiences, make sense of pain, offer care to yourself where you haven’t before, and discover or create supports to get what you feel you need.
