About My Clients
I work with children, teens and adults through a trauma-informed and affirmative lens to navigate complex and developmental trauma, relational trauma, PTSD, grief and traumatic grief, attachment challenges, dissociation, chronic depression, and mood disorders. I have experience working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed independent social worker (LISW) through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Master’s degree in Social Work, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in communication studies. I am trained in Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) memory reconsolidation, and Coherence therapy, receiving ongoing continuing education in these modalities. My approach is centered in the relational aspects of therapy and may include the above interventions, as well as attachment-based therapy, IFS-informed therapy, Narrative therapy work, and mindfulness strategies. I aim for an experiential approach that centers your experience in the therapy room.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I welcome and work with clients of all backgrounds and am committed to acknowledging the privileges I carry with me into the therapeutic space. I believe that systemic issues impact our mental health and do not shy away from bringing these topics, including various types of oppression, into the therapeutic work, as appropriate. I am always seeking out continued training and learning opportunities to better serve my clients. Outside of work I love spending time in nature, trying local food spots, curling up with a book, or thrifting my latest home find.
