About My Clients
Navigating life’s milestones and changes can be both exciting and overwhelming. These shifts often bring up intense emotions, triggering stress, grief, and anxiety. When people are facing impending changes, needing to change, or dealing with recent transitions, they often seek my support. My focus is on helping you clarify what you truly want in life and guiding you to live authentically in alignment with what matters most to you. I do this through supporting self-reflection and insight.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm and reflective, yet direct. I graduated from Smith College School for Social Work, where I studied psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, trauma, and anti-racism/ social justice. These theories shape how I understand human nature and the challenges we face. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in community mental health centers supporting children, adolescents, and families affected by trauma. Now, I focus on helping young adults and adults navigate their lives and build healthy relationships. As a social worker, I see how the environment impacts each of us and my approach includes supporting my clients to find their people, feel included in their chosen communities, and have meaningful connected relationships. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can grow and change when they're ready to. I think that sometimes we get hijacked by parts of ourselves that are protectors and defenders against the things that have been hard, scary, or unfair in our lives. Unfortunately, those defender parts are not always the most effective at helping you get what you truly want in life. I believe in honoring the place where these parts came from and encouraging, empowering, and calling to action your authentic self. From there, things start to fall into place. I am a firm believer in being connected to your authentic self, leading with love, and using your voice to get your needs met.
