About My Clients
Bravely Onward Therapy Services offers an inclusive, safe space where collaboratively, emotionally-focused relationships guide individuals through the process of unlearning, empowering them to uncover their truest selves, bravely write their own story, and confidently achieve whole-person wellness and freedom.
My Background and Approach
Bravely Onward Therapy Services is committed to providing inclusive, compassionate, and whole-person mental health care grounded in the human experience. Using evidence-based practices and prioritizing a strong therapeutic alliance, we aim to create an environment where you can learn, grow, heal, and transform. As an anti-racist practice, we honor the many intersectional identities that make you who you are. We are affirming of and allied with the kink, non-monogamy, and queer communities, and bring extensive experience in supporting trans and gender non-conforming individuals. While the “symptoms” you’re facing may be easily categorized within a medical model, my trauma-informed approach understands your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations as signals—your body’s way of letting you know something needs attention. Together, we will explore these experiences and the societal and cultural “norms” that no longer serve you and prevent you from connecting with your authentic self!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Three core beliefs guide both her clinical work and her personal life: 1. Most people walk through the world not feeling loved enough. 2. Relationships can wound us deeply, yet they also hold the greatest potential for healing. 3. Humans learn to navigate life in ways that protect them from the rejection they fear most. Katie understands each person as uniquely shaped by their experiences, and she views the therapeutic relationship as a powerful space where a collaborative, authentic connection can become a model for the healthy, nurturing relationships everyone deserves. Through this work, healing from attachment wounds becomes possible, and the fear of rejection can soften into a sense of inner peace. Openness, curiosity, and love are the foundation of how she lives, relates, and enters the therapeutic space, grounded in the belief that attachment and emotions are at the heart of both pain and healing.
