My Background and Approach
Before starting my private practice, I spent the first 5 years of my career in mobile crisis assessment and intervention, providing a foundation for risk assessment and management that has guided my choices in developing my outpatient therapy practice. I built a foundation of outpatient therapy work at a federally qualified health center during COVID-19 and have held supervisory and leadership positions in mobile crisis and outpatient group practice settings. I utilize an eclectic approach drawing from relational and psychodynamic therapy, CBT and DBT, and motivational interviewing. By pulling from various modalities, I don't put myself in a box and am able to adapt to what my clients need as their lives move forward. My background in risk assessment and experiences in motivational interviewing help me provide more expansive support to clients who experience suicidal ideation, self-harm, and substance use challenges. I hold a PMH-C and love supporting parents!
