About My Clients

My clients are those who are seeking ways to fully embody their lives in authentic ways. They are often free-thinkers who are searching for something deeper in life that lights their fire. They often desire healing from trauma, integration of peak experiences, to be seen and heard, to connect in relationships, and to find ways to live their lives with less anxiety, depression, or emotional pain. Often, these individuals are highly sensitive people (HSP) or those shut off from the feelings.

My Background and Approach

As a counselor with a previous career as a psychiatric nurse, I have a wide range and depth of experience in mental health. In my counseling approach, I blend philosophy, modern psychology, and my knowledge of human biology to optimize our work together. My approach is integrative and I primarily utilize techniques based in mindfulness, radical acceptance, and personality/identity exploration. Our time together is for you. I work diligently to ensure we move at your pace and within your comfort level, while simultaneously challenging you to unlock your potential and recognize your unique inner strengths and intuitive wisdom.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I personally believe healing looks different for each person and this journey is a sacred one. My primary objective is to help you unlock your power, learn to trust in yourself and your goodness, and to help you create an existence that is deeply meaningful and genuine. So often we go through lives feeling separate from others, unimportant, or we mask to try and 'blend in'. I believe that true freedom lies in an intimate understanding of the our lived experiences and ways of being. In truly seeing ourselves, self-compassion and acceptance can finally be accessed. In the words of Tara Brach: "The trance of feeling separate and unworthy is an inherent part of our conditioning as humans; so too is our capacity to awaken."
