About My Clients
As you read this, count to 7 while you breathe in deeply, then exhale slowly for 11 seconds. Doing this one small thing can help you slow down and reset. We often hold so much anxiety and stress in our bodies, and can find relief when we tune in and notice what we’re feeling. You may be feeling totally stuck, unsure about what to do to feel better, and tired of listening to that harsh inner critic.
My Background and Approach
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, addiction, or stress, then I can help. I specialize in working with people who tend to be very hard on themselves, and struggle with self-esteem, people-pleasing, and/or perfectionism. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, heal painful wounds, unlearn unhelpful patterns that have been getting in the way, and experience your life with self-compassion, calm, and resilience. I’m a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Licensed Addiction Counselor. My style is direct, warm, curious, and collaborative, with a focus on tools that are evidence-based and rooted in neuropsychology. Please give me a call or send me an email to schedule a free consultation. For more info, visit my website at www.KatieLawrenceCounseling.com
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to discover and utilize their own personal strengths and resources to make positive changes in their lives. I am committed to helping you find and explore the path that will lead you to a meaningful life that you love. It’s my goal to equip you with more insight into yourself, increased self-confidence, a set of tools that help when challenges arise, and relief from the symptoms that get in the way of how you want to live your life. I love celebrating successes big and small with my clients, and am always so excited to witness positive change and growth. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, so I know they are effective, and I especially enjoy learning about what is happening in the brain.
