About My Clients
I am experienced working with patients from young adolescence to end of life, including in outpatient and community organizations. My expertise spans from supporting individuals who struggle with grief and loss, multiple co-occurring chronic mental health illnesses, relationships, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, panic, obsessions and compulsions, ADHD, and other neurological diagnoses.
My Background and Approach
The intersectionality of my identities informs my approach. As an Asian Chinese American, first-generation college graduate, and the eldest daughter of immigrant parents, I deeply empathize with difficulties in balancing cultural expectations, familial values, and personal identity. I employ culturally attuned and trauma informed care through utilizing empirically backed treatment modalities that are tailored to each client. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and mindfulness. Primarily, I am person-centered and grounded in the humanistic model.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the purpose of therapy is to foster a safe space where you feel understood and supported. Whether you are starting or restarting your healing journey, taking that leap can be a meaningful step forward. When you feel ready, I invite you to reach out.
