About My Clients
If you feel like you're stuck on a therapy carousel, rehashing the same things week after week, I can help get you off the ride. I focus heavily on root causes, such as trauma, attachment issues, family dynamics, and undiagnosed neurodivergence. I love imparting knowledge to help you grow as a person. I also work with people/couples who are in an ENM/open relationships, so no judgment here about non-traditional relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am an LPC with a mixed background. I have experience with social work, family therapy, community mental health, and outpatient settings. I specialize in trauma, attachment, neurodivergence, ENM/open relationships, and men's issues. I use EMDR, brainspotting, parts work (IFS), attachment theory, and personal experience to maximize results in your therapy sessions. I like to focus heavily on increasing self-awareness, understanding why you do the things you do, so you can be better prepared on how to change. We will explore who you are at your core, while sprinkling in psychoeducation and learning how to show up effectively in our relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community and have personal experience with ENM/open relationships. I am passionate about human rights and climate change. I believe if we treated everyone for trauma, no matter how big or small, we would be a better functioning society. Don't let anyone tell you what is or is not trauma (even yourself!). Humor is integral in therapeutic relationships and I strive to show up as my authentic self in sessions. I don't believe in weird power dynamics that traditional therapist/client relationships were built on. I am able to function best in sessions with this approach while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
