EMDR stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. It is a treatment that allows memories to be reprocessed in order to decrease the emotional intensity held within them. It has been a very effective tool for treating conditions such as anxiety, performance anxiety, and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). It can also be helpful to process through any type of traumatic event or traumatic history.
