About My Clients
Do you ever feel like you’ve lost all control? Your thoughts race from one thing to another. You constantly think about what may happen next. When you aren’t thinking about the future, you’re lost in the past and whether you did the right thing. Sometimes the thoughts become so overwhelming that they lead to panic. Eventually, your mind stops racing only to leave you feeling empty in the sadness. You dream of waking up in the morning feeling peace instead of chaos.
My Background and Approach
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." - Maya Angelou. Stories are powerful. They shape the way that we see ourselves and the world. They impact the way that we interact with the people around us. Sometimes the stories that we develop throughout our lives become problematic and no longer benefit us. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, we will work to identify the thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that shape these problematic stories and cause concerns such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. Through telling your story, you will begin to notice patterns in these thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. We can then work to address these patterns in order for you to live a happier and more peaceful life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that anyone has the potential to change their own life. But so many times we are not given the tools to create change. Therapy should teach you tangible skills to help you not only in your current struggle, but in the struggles to come. I believe we can learn to manage our struggles in a healthy way so that they no longer control us. Otherwise, I wouldn't be doing this job. I want you to live your best life because you deserve to live your best life.
