About My Clients
Just finding a nonjudgmental, accepting, loving space can do wonders for our healing and growth process. You may be chronically ill, disabled, recovering from trauma, constantly in survival mode, facing a lot of uncertainty, or just finally trying to uncover your true self. Whatever it is, together we’ll examine and let go of the expectations that aren’t serving you, then figure out what you really want and need in order to be the best version of yourself.
My Background and Approach
I was previously a humanist chaplain, so I have extensive experience working with all kinds of grief and loss, major life changes, and making meaning out of intensely personal experiences. This is especially true if you have ever been pathologized, othered, or mistreated simply because of who you are and how you experience the world. The predictable result is depression, anxiety, and relational trauma. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Together we can trust and listen to your intuition, understand better what your body is telling us, and cultivate a sense of joy and belonging even as the storm rages on. I use a liberatory framework that seriously examines the way power dynamics and oppression impact our relationships and mental health. I also have experience with attachment wounds, religious trauma, immigration, queer and/or nontraditional family structures, family of origin issues, psychosis, madness, and spirituality.
