My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed psychologist with 10+ years in private practice, specializing in anxiety, burnout, and perfectionism. I'm a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), meaning I've completed advanced training in treating anxiety at its root, not just managing symptoms. High-achievers come to me exhausted after years (or maybe a lifetime) of trying to "fix" anxiety. In therapy, I help you understand what's driving it, where it came from, and how to break the cycle. Using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, I work with your nervous system to create lasting change. Not just temporary relief. Anxiety isn't the enemy, it's a messenger. It's your nervous system's way of trying to keep you safe, often based on patterns that formed long ago. The problem isn't that you experience anxiety; it's that the strategies your nervous system developed to protect you are now exhausting you and keeping you stuck. The patterns that drive anxiety (perfectionism, overthinking, people-pleasing, etc.) developed for a reason. They once kept you safe. But now they're running your life, exhausting you with constant vigilance, guilt, and paralysis. Therapy is about honoring why these patterns exist while helping you understand that you're safe now and there are other ways to move through the world. You deserve more than just "getting by." You deserve to understand what's driving your anxiety, heal the root causes, and build a life that feels grounded, authentic, and meaningful.
