About My Clients
If you are finding anxiety and depression, traumatic events, substance use, or other mental health issues are playing a larger role in your life than you would like, it may be time to connect with a professional to help you find healing. Having a safe, comfortable space and relationship with your therapist is key in being able to explore how these issues may be impacting your life. As a clinician, I aim to provide you with these essential pieces so you can focus on your healing.
My Background and Approach
I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Oklahoma and my master's degree in psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a licensed chemical dependency counselor with the Texas Department of State Health Services and a licensed psychological associate with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. I received a certificate in traumatic stress studies from The Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute and recently became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with the International Association of Trauma Professionals. After becoming a registered yoga teacher, I completed the requirements to be a certified teacher of Yoga for 12 Step Recovery. In addition to 12 step yoga training, I have engaged in multiple trainings for trauma informed yoga. I incorporate yogic techniques, including meditation and breath work, into my psychotherapy practice in order to facilitate mind-body-spirit healing.
