About My Clients
I specialize in trauma-informed care for individuals navigating life transitions, identity exploration, complex relationship dynamics, cultural and racial issues, and the lasting impact of foster care, adoption, and challenging attachment dynamics. As someone who shares parts of this journey myself, I hold this work with real compassion and am especially passionate about making these services accessible.
My Background and Approach
I take an individualized approach, thoughtfully considering the familial, cultural, and systemic factors that shape each person's experience, and I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy to tailor our work to your unique needs and goals. I recognize that identity, background, and lived experience informs how someone moves through the world, and how they grow and heal. I hold space for clients with genuine curiosity and care, never assumption or judgment. My work is about walking alongside clients with genuineness, humor, and hope, so they can show up as exactly who they are and find the strength they already carry within themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have something to reflect on, work through, or grow towards, and that happens best in a space where you feel truly seen, respected, and heard. Therapy is just as much about attentiveness, genuineness, and collaboration as it is about skills and interventions. I meet each client where they are, walking alongside them with warmth, humility, and curiosity. Healing doesn't have to be heavy all the time - I believe humor can be healing even in difficult times. Sometimes, all people need is a little guidance to uncover the strength and resilience they already carry.
