About My Clients
If you or a loved one are struggling with an eating disorder you may feel helpless, hopeless, and unsure of where to turn. I want to encourage you that there is hope and full recovery is possible. I am here to help you walk through the journey of recovery. My goal is to guide you in addressing the behaviors as well as the underlying issues that are driving the eating disorder in an effort to help you or your loved one achieve a more fulfilling life.
My Background and Approach
I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment that allows my clients to feel comfortable in being open, exploring their feelings, and addressing underlying issues with which they may be struggling. I have an authentic and non-judgmental approach and describe myself as down to earth. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and families at the inpatient, residential, partial-hospital, and intensive outpatient levels of care. I also have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, struggle with mood disorders, anxiety, and other issues that interfere with obtaining the quality of life that they desire. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all and I believe in the importance of tailoring treatment to the individual. I utilize various therapeutic modalities, including, but not limited to, mindfulness based techniques, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Health at Every Size (HAES) informed provider. disorder can impact anyone regardless of gender, race, or socioeconomic status. I desire to help all of those who are affected and their families.
