About My Clients
Whether you are struggling with a difficult life transition, experiencing conflict or lack of connection in your relationships, or are suffering from a serious mental illness, therapy can help you and your relationships be their best. As a systemically trained therapist, I have a keen awareness that a person’s relationships and environment are vitally important to mental wellness.
My Background and Approach
At the heart of my therapeutic style is my unconditional positive regard for all. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their behavior, thoughts, feelings, expectations, values, and yearnings. As clients learn to understand and accept themselves, they are better able to understand and accept others. Depending on the client and their specific problem, I draw from a variety of modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy/Attachment Theory, Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy, to name a few.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about social justice and am open to working with all client populations, regardless of race, religion, political views, sexual orientation, gender identity, or relationship status. My areas of special interest include couples in conflict, military families, families navigating divorce, LGBTQ+ issues, sex therapy, infertility, ADHD, anxiety, and low self-esteem.
