About My Clients
My therapy style is warm, interactive, and person-centered. I specialize in grief and loss and life transitions. My other specialties include chronic illnesses, end-of-life issues, caregiver fatigue, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, stress management, and alcohol and drug abuse.
My Background and Approach
I like to support you in exploring the word “and”, as in ‘talk therapy' and meditation, or ‘talk therapy’ and exercise, or ‘talk therapy and social support… You get the idea I’m sure. I have found that sustainable changes include multiple ands. Only you can decide the formula that works best for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and principles of positive psychology. I supplement my professional training if/as needed (and wanted) with my reiki training and my training as an end-of-life doula.
