About My Clients
My practice is for individuals and couples stuck in repetitive relational cycles. You might be thoughtful and self-aware, but still find yourself reacting out of habit, defensiveness, or emotional distance when stress shows up. Whether you are navigating communication loops with a partner or internal conflict on your own, we focus on what is actually driving the pattern so you can improve your relationships with others and yourself.
My Background and Approach
As an LMFT specializing in relational and individual therapy, my goal is to make our work active, insightful, and transformative. My clinical foundation combines Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and the Gottman Method with Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts-work. Connecting these approaches benefits you in two key ways: For Couples: We move beyond mapping communication loops to help both partners heal the underlying wounds driving defensiveness, allowing you to restore genuine intimacy and rebuild trust. For Individuals: We focus on inner healing—helping you soften protective reactions, process long-standing relational wounds, and resolve the internal conflicts that keep you on autopilot. By addressing the root emotional material first, the practical tools and boundaries we build actually stick, giving you a clear path to lasting change and healthier connection.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing starts when we meet our protective habits with curiosity instead of judgment, because self awareness + self compassion = transformation. Alongside my clinical work, I bring a broad life perspective as an English/Spanish bilingual, former college educator, translator, wife, mom, bonus mom, and "Nana." My husband and I have renovated a few houses together, which means we know first hand that caring for both houses and relationships takes patience, skill, and commitment when things get messy. Outside of therapy, I enjoy browsing estate sales, going out for breakfast, attempting abstract painting, travel, cat naps, my sweet rescue pup, and hanging out with loved ones (especially the ones who call me Nana).
