About My Clients
I serve a diverse population of individuals, couples, and families. I work well alongside people managing issues with self esteem, anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, grief, PTSD, and CPTSD. I am identity affirming, and will always hold space for you to define your therapy goals and what wellness means for you in your life.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2018 with my master's in social work as a clinical scholar. My first few years in the field I spent working in community mental health with individuals and families doing homebased, and outpatient work. I've also worked within a partial hospitalization program, and a private group practice. After witnessing the benefits and drawbacks of our mental health system, I began my own private practice in 2023. I thoroughly believe that clients are the experts in their own experience and in what they need in order to be well. My therapy style is one that is collaborative, and person-centered. My approach is influenced by training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Parts Work, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT), Somatic Experiencing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
