About My Clients

Are you someone who wants to understand yourself better, your emotions, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck? Do you struggle to identify and cope with difficult emotions, build and maintain healthy relationships, manage and prioritize competing stressors, or feel confident in yourself? Together, we can work toward developing greater emotional awareness, healthier coping strategies, stronger relationships, and a more positive and compassionate sense of self.

My Background and Approach

Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and a little bit real. I’ll bring evidence-based tools, like DBT skills, to the table, and you’ll bring your goals, your story, and your sense of humor—even if it’s slightly dark, that’s fine too. Together, we’ll figure out how to manage the tough stuff—stress, anxiety, messy relationships, big life transitions—while also moving toward a version of life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and you. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, but also use strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based Therapy to strengthen present-moment awareness resulting in reduced anxiety, improved mood, and helping you feel more grounded and balanced in daily life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we all have agency in our lives, even when we did not choose or create the circumstances we face. Therapy can help us identify what is within our control, develop tools to navigate what is not, and find meaningful ways forward. I also believe our wellbeing is shaped by both personal and broader forces. Our relationships, communities, identities, environments, and the systems and institutions we navigate all influence how we experience ourselves and our lives. I believe therapy should make space to understand these micro and macro factors rather than placing responsibility for every struggle solely on the individual. In this way, I believe therapy is inherently connected to the social and political contexts in which we live. My approach is strengths-based and person-centered. You are the expert on your own life and the captain of the ship. I tailor our work to your needs, goals, values, and pace, offering guidance and tools while honoring your autonomy
