About My Clients

I have an expertise in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep concerns and insomnia, chronic pain and other chronic illness adjustment difficulties. I also have a passion for working with veterans and mothers and women who are pregnant or postpartum and are looking for support through these critical life stages.

My Background and Approach

When working with clients, I focus on creating a safe and accepting space, that fosters a supportive relationship and lays the foundation for self-exploration. My approach incorporates elements of supportive talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the power and courage in acceptance – that you will go through challenging periods of your life, and that sometimes you have to choose the difficult path to get to the life you really want. I’ll assist you in learning these ways of thinking, as well as the skills to challenge patterns of behavior that no longer serve you. I aim to provide an affirming and collaborative space that allows us to explore both solution- and emotion-focused approaches to improving your quality of life.
