About My Clients
I use evidenced-based practices to address symptoms in mental health that create barriers for people to achieve their full potential. I offer a supportive environment focused on developing the adaptive behaviors that you can use in reaching your goals. By first identifying what's getting in the way, we use a team approach to knock down these barriers and substitute effective means, while still maintaining the behaviors that have proven helpful.
My Background and Approach
I use mostly Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in most of my work. Using therapy approaches such as Prolonged Exposure is often based upon the clinical diagnosis but can be effective in treating complex PTSD and trauma-related symptoms. I use a lot of behavioral exposure therapy to treat impulse-control difficulties, OCD and Anxiety Disorders. My framework is associated with the diagnosis as well as the strengths of the client.
