About My Clients
My objective is to provide a safe space where BIPOC, marginalized, and young and middle-aged adult clients feel seen and heard. I am committed to helping you embrace vulnerability as you journey to discover your authentic self and shed those false narratives imposed by external influences. Our work together will be an alliance. I aim to be a stable source of support and positive energy for you wherever the journey leads. Healing is absolutely possible.
My Background and Approach
As a graduate of Western Michigan University’s Graduate School of Social Work, I focused my coursework to ensure that I was well versed in the current research on trauma and the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). I am now a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker with the state of Michigan and I have received additional post-graduate training as a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP) in 2020. My greatest lesson has been that personal resilience is a far stronger force than trauma. Your value is not dictated by even your worst experiences. You are the writer of your own story, not life's circumstances. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you take control of your own narrative. My approach is relational, non-judgmental, strengths-based, and solution-focused.
