About My Clients
I work with folks who, formally or informally, support others and find themselves needing tools to care for themselves. Perhaps you are another mental health provider, a first responder, a guardian, a leader, a solid friend, or an advocate. You too may be experiencing past traumas and overwhelming stresses, unhelpful relational patterns, current unrealistic expectations of self, or feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. You too deserve a teammate on your adventure towards relief and joy.
My Background and Approach
I use evidenced based approaches, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), for when talking feels too much, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices. These are integrated to treat adverse trauma responses, navigate stuff life throws at us, reduce anxiety, increase a sense of self, improve connections with loved ones, increase confidence in wanted change, and more. You may identify as a first responder, helper, gamer, athlete, nerd, parent, or all the above. You may be a part of the first responder, LGBTIQA+, crafting, or trail running communities (or all the above). The care I provide is based on your individual experience with distress, coping and thriving skills, relationships, and areas of growth. I also use sarcasm, nature, movement, and obscure pop culture references to aid in the journey. (Please note my email response to inquires sometimes lands in your junk/spam box!)
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to be healthy, happy and safe. I value and advocate for equity, justice, and community. I'm a short, cis-gendered female who feels all voices are important and some need to be amplified. My hope for you is relief.
