About My Clients
Do you feel pressured by societal norms? Is navigating family and social stress too much? I enjoy working with individuals who are looking to live authentic lives and break free from what is holding them back. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have a particularly interest in family and historical trauma and working with LGBTQAI+ folks. I also specialize in play therapy and work with younger populations and parents to support improved family relationships and functioning.
My Background and Approach
I hold a BS in Child Development and earned an MA in Adlerian Psychology in Leadership and a Post Master's certificate in Clinical Counseling from Adler Graduate school. I am currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Play therapy from Bethel University. Adlerian principles of encouragement, belonging and healing through relationships guide my work with children and adults. I am committed to social justice and ensuring equal access to mental health services.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to equal access to mental health services and have volunteered with Crisis Text Line as a crisis counselor for a number of years. I am passionate about early childhood mental health and LGBTQAI+ mental health. As an active member of the Adlerian community, I am committed to working toward social justice. As part of this commitment, I offer a sliding fee scale and will work with clients to ensure they do not lose services if they lose insurance or are experiencing economic hardship.
